Another day, another shocking allegation regarding the India cricket team dressing room has come to light. A report has claimed that batter Sarfaraz Khan, who was benched throughout the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, has been accused of leaking dressing room talks to the media. Earlier, reports had claimed that Gambhir had said “enough was enough” to the Indian players in the dressing room following their loss in IND vs AUS Boxing Day Test. Several cricketers had then slammed the report and had said that the dressing room chatter should remain within and shouldn’t be leaked.
Gambhir holds Sarfaraz Khan responsible?
As per TV9 Bharatvarsh, Gambhir reportedly told the BCCI that it was Sarfaraz Khan who leaked the dressing room talks to the media. He reportedly levelled the allegation against the batter during the review meeting between captain Rohit Sharma, chief selector Ajit Agarkar and other board members on January 11. However, there has been no official reaction from either the Indian head coach or the Mumbai batter regarding the batter. The authenticity of this report has not been verified as well. Sarfaraz did not get a chance to play even a single Test in Australia.

On January 1, reports had claimed that Gambhir had some stern words for the Indian team. “Bahut ho gaya (I’ve had enough),” the former opener seems to have told the team, as per a report in the Indian Express. The report further suggested, that the coach, though didn’t name anyone in his address, but slammed the players for playing poorly, in the name of “natural game”.
Meanwhile, Sarfaraz Khan injured himself while fielding during practice in Australia. Scans revealed that he had suffered a minor hairline fracture to his ribs. He is now set to reportedly miss the second leg of Ranji Trophy that begins on January 23.
