After a crushing 0-10 defeat in the first round, wrestler Antim Panghal could be in further trouble. She was asked to come back on the next flight from Paris after her sister tried to allegedly enter Olympics village with Antim’s accreditation card. her sister was taken to the local Paris police station for verification. However, the entire situation as put the entire Indian contingent in bad light. And as a result, Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) could take action against her with a ban up to three years.
Following the Paris Olympics fiasco, IOA issued a statement saying she would be brought back to India on the next available flight.
“The Indian Olympic Association has decided to fly wrestler Antim and her support staff back after a disciplinary breach was brought to IOA’s notice by the French authorities,” the IOA said in a statement.

However, Antim Phangal issued a clarification in a video, claiming that her sister was not detained. Rather, she was taken to the police station for verification. Furthermore, there was an altercation with a taxi driver with her coach because of language barrier.
