Δημοπρασία IPL: Κ.Λ. Ο Rahul είναι ο αρχηγός του franchise της LSG από την ίδρυσή του και θα είναι δύσκολο για την ομάδα να μην αναθεωρήσει τη γνώμη του.
Ever since IPL 2024’s match between LSG and SRH, where the latter went on to win, there have been various reports of a flaky relationship between KL Rahul and Sanjiv Goenka. After all, everyone remembers the latter’s public outburst, post losing this match. And now, Rahul not being retained during IPL retention has only confirmed of this development.
KL Rahul Not Retained by LSG
The team instead went with retaining the likes of Nicholas Pooran, Mayank Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohsin Khan, and Ayush Badoni. But as it turns out, KL Rahul might be brought in again, via RTM, during the IPL Auction, or so says coach Justin Langer.
Surprise Awaiting at IPL Auction?
“We are really pleased with announcing the four of the most talented Indian players in the country at the moment. We are setting a base for those strong Indian players — Mayank Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi, Ayush Badoni, Mohsin Khan — four incredibly talented players and I’m excited about that,” Langer said in a video posted on X.
“Nicholas Pooran is a dynamic player in world cricket and we can’t wait to see him in action again. We have got one more Right To Match (RTM) and we are hoping to pick up as many of our players as possible from last year in the auction. Mr Goenka has thought long and hard about this and like I have said, we have talked over and over all the possibilities,” he added.
“The retention for next year’s IPL was really tough. There were lots of very careful deliberations, strong considerations to come up list of retentions,” Langer said.
For now, LSG is left with a purse of 69 Cr, and have a tedious task of coming up with balanced team, that can serve them for the next few years. Who knows Rahul might just be back again.
